We will have a Wednesday planning meeting this week. We will start at
6:45 PM.  We will enjoy pizza, discuss this years calendar, current
projects and upcoming events.

• Aug 15th V-J Day + 65 = WWII Seminar and radar laboratory victory celebration.

1) The best show clearing in all of NJ was at Camp Evans.  IT was
cleared twice due to two nasty storms.  Thank you to Mike G. for the
equipment.  The operators: Mike G., Steve G., John T., Joe G., and ??
did a great job with our plows, gas snow throwers and human powered snow
shovels.  The parking lot was so clean only the painted lines were
left.  Thanks to Nels who called in reinforcements to remove a giant
snow pile and some touch-up..  Nels cleared the Diana site for an OMARC
event.

2) We have a Camp Evans history videos on YouTube.com thanks to Ryan L.
and John B. who created a page on our site to link to YouTube.  Norm and
Ryan L. will be targeting Frank O., and his Apollo Computer for the next
set of videos.  We will soon add a virtual Frank the Nasa Computer
expert to virtual Ray the radar expert and virtual Fred the Camp Evans
historian to our PC based videos.

3) We are making progress rebuilding the old 2” wide blinds – thanks to
Matt O. and Steve G. for getting the supplies.  This Sunday, Matt and
Jim Orgill wrote procedures and took photographs for a 'How-to-rebuild
blinds".  If we rebuild the binds in 9032 A-C we will save nearly $6,000
in costs.  If we could buy replacements in the same old ugly wide style
the cost would be $300 per window = $27,000 for the A - C.  Big savings!!

4) The lights in 9162 are all re-wired.  We need to get going.  We lost
two weekends due to the snow.  We have the covers to replace and some
ceiling sheet rock repairs.  The TIROS anniversary is April 1st.

5) In 9032 the EW room is all ready.  Bob P. will be replaced the light
fixtures in this room and others.

6) The restored WWII restrooms in 9032B & C may be checked by the
building inspector tomorrow thanks to Steve G. and Mark C. of C & H
Plumbing.

7) The Monroe Township Veterans Council will be visiting with 25 WWII
Vets on Wednesday, April 27th .   We need to have a nice tour for the
gents.  Ray C. will firm up a date with them.  Ray did you call them?

8) Matt Orgill's Eagle Ceremony went excellent on Sunday the 7th (the
6th was snowed out).  Mike G. had the dining room looking as good as
new.  He hand stripped the wax buildup and re-waxed the floors. 
Amazing.  I read a letter of congratulations for Nels and Judy W. to
Matt.  Our hope and Mike G.'s hope is this will be the first on many
Eagle Court of Honor ceremonies at InfoAge.

9) Able, Michele and the Blossom volunteers are breaking all records
with enhanced museum attendance thanks to the Disney ticket program. 
Michele is spending lots of time sorting and inventorying the donations
for foster children ‘Care-packs’ and the many excellent programs Blossom
hosts.  This effort has brought our more supplies than we could have
imagined.  Blossom has even helped the local DYFS office with the
supplies donated.

10) Future Eagle Scout Zack visited on Sunday with his plans to expand
our river front trails to Watson Road.  We hope the council approves his
proposal.

11) This Sunday, Jim Orgill, Bill Kortenhouse, Steve Makrinos., and I
were guests of Monarch Energy Associates (aka Mike Golub) at the 47th
Annual Monmouth County Republicans Lincoln Day Dinner.  We enjoyed a
great time and great food with Mike and Kathy G.    BOT members Steve
M., Claire French and I did our best to update our supporting
republicans friends on InfoAge's excellent progress.  We gave out our
cards and newsletters.  It was great to update Congressman Chris Smith
and tell him to look for our Earmark request.  We got to see InfoAge
volunteer Assemblyman Dave Rible.  State Senator Sean Kean told Mike G.
the bill to name Camp Evans the state of NJ WWII living memorial is
almost ready.  We got to see former assemblyman Steve Corodemus.  Steve
was the host of our 2005 WWII Living Memorial Dedication.  We also got
to see Mike Fitzgerald the former head of the original Marconi Park
Reuse advisory committee.  His committee (including our BOT members John
Truhan and Claire French with the urging of our BOT chairman Mike Ruane)
recommended Wall Township give InfoAge a chance to save Camp Evans back
in 1994.  We got to meet new Freeholder John Curly as well as a number
of current and former Freeholders who have supported us over the years. 
We did our best to meet as many person we thought could help us.  Thank
you Mike and Monarch Associates for putting us in the same room as all
these key persons.

12) Thank you to BOT member Steve Makrinos for preparing our request for
federal funding (earmark) for Congressman Smith's consideration.

13) BOT member Bob G. is making great progress on The Book.  Bob and I
will be working to find better resolution digital copies of the photos
he has selected for publication.  Thank you to helpers like BOT member
Larry Tormey for the editing.

14) Congratulations to Dan Lieb for successfully preparing, submitting
and winning a Monmouth County Historical Commission Grant for InfoAge. 
The ceremony is on Feb 22nd at the Hall of Records - 7 PM.  Great job
Dan!  The matching funds will repair structural damage to the frames of
WWII wood structures 9029, 9031 and 9034.

15) NJARC had a great meeting in 9032A.  Thank you to President Richard
for giving me a few minutes to say thank you to the group, for all the
progress they have brought to InfoAge / Camp Evans.
They have grown with us from the cottage 9003 to the NJARC Radio
Technology Museum packed with artifacts.  They are now poised for
expansion into the 'H' buildings.  A NJARC advance party has already
colonized a storage room in 9010A.

16) Dan L. has created a set of Edward Henderson posters for a traveling
exhibit.  They may visit Wall town hall.

17) John B., and the website committee are looking at Joomla.

18) Another great history find and win by Ray C.  A WWII technical
manual was offered on ebay.  A photo of IFF equipment had some buildings
in the background.  On close examination they turned out to be 9017 and
9037.

19) Steve R. and members of the archive committee are working on an
Archive policy for InfoAge.  Thank you to Steve for his leadership in
this effort.  Steve also cataloged the set of Marconi drawings donated
to InfoAge by the Sarnoff Library.  We hope to add them to our
finding-aide on our website.

20) Thank  you to John T. and Joe G. for continuing to catalog our
handreds of Camp Evans drawings.

21) Dan L. reminds us your articles for the next InfoAge Marconigraph /
InfoAge Signaleer are due by midnight March 31st .   Thank you rot Frank

23) It is amazing how many memberships have expired.   Get your $25 in

24) Blossom and OCAPA are teaming up to organize the second InfoAge Flea
market and stuff sale.  Details to follow.

25) Our web committee is taking shape under John B’s technical
leadership.  John, Steve G. and Michele have begun looking into using
Joomla to enable more persons to contribute to our web content.

26) Thanks to Joe G. for working on getting us an improved copier.  We
hope to get the old copier up and running soon.

27) The NJARC members are agreeable the help find information on the
industries in the1945 list of NJ companies who earned the Army-Navy E –
award .  We hope to contact them for a donation in honor of their WWII
accomplishments.

These past two Sunday was super busy with lots of visitors and families.
On site were Dave Sica, Dave Sn., Phil V. Ray & Edith C., Marsha & Jerry
S., Harry K.and others in the NJARC museum.  Steve G., John T., and Joe
G were all over the place as usual.  Jeff F. and Evan K had the MARCH
exhibit open. Neil N., Dan and Terry L. had the NJHDA shipwreck museum
open.  Mike G., was getting ready for the Eagle court of honor and
plowing.  Able & Michele R., Bella R., and conscripted visitors were
sorting, inventorying  and moving the hundreds of Blossom donations. 
Dan J. and sons were in the computer deconstruction lab.  Jim and Matt
O. plus new volunteer Jake D. were working on the blinds.  JoAnne was in
the lobby. Norm and Ryan L. were delivering video updates.  I know I
missed lots of folks - sorry.  The last two weeks were crazy.  Good
crazy with progress.

I hope to see you at this meeting to help make more progress. It is up
to us to make historic Camp Evans a place of public benefit service that
is honoring to those who served there.

1) Snow clearing was excellent – thank you to Kyle B. for plowing and to
the person who swept the snow off sidewalks and steps.

2) We have a Camp Evans history video on YouTube.com thanks to Ryan L.

3) We are making progress rebuilding the old 2” wide blinds – thanks to
Matt O. and Steve G. for getting the supplies. We have 15 sets washed
and disassembled.

4) The lights in 9162 are all re-wired. We have the covers to replace
and some ceiling sheetrock repairs. The TIROS anniversary is April 1^st .

5) In 9032 the EW room is all ready. Walls are painted, restored WWII
doors, grey painted floor. Bob P. will be replacing the light fixtures.

6) In 9032 the old NJARC antique radio collection room has had the drop
ceiling and lights removed, floor tiles removed, 1980s divider wall has
been removed. Next some minor wall repair, then the walls and floors
get painted. Bob P. will be replacing the light fixtures.

7) Thanks to Dan L. the ‘Night to Remember’ movie get together on
Saturday evening was enjoyable. Nice food and coffee. Thanks to Dan
J. for the assist on the sound issues.

8) Thanks to all, we have enjoyed low fuel usage this winter by being
frugal. Steve G. helped with the latest fuel oil delivery on Monday.

9) Thanks to Steve G. for managing the BRAC contractors who needed to
drill holes in the floors of 9032 and 9010 to sample for volatile
Hydrocarbons.

10) The Monroe Township Veterans Council will be visiting with 25 WWII
Vets on Wednesday, April 21^st . We need to have a nice tour for the
gents.

11) Thanks to BOT member Lynn B. I was invited to represent us at the NJ
Resources (aka NJNG) annual meeting. We were one of three featured
community service projects Chairman Larry Downs spoke about and showed a

12) Thanks to Dan L. InfoAge is a member of the Wall Chamber of
Commerce. Director Amanda would like to host a function at InfoAge in

Ph.D. There is a section on the Evans Signal Laboratory. He used at
least eight photos from our website. Ray C. and Steve G. are reviewing
our copies.

15) Thanks to Joe G. and John T. for making progress on cataloging and
sorting more of the Camp Evans technical drawings for our archive and
research. This will also help ge an office cleared upstairs in the hotel.

16) Mike G. is going above and beyond helping to make our dining room
and lounge look great for Matt O’s. Eagle Ceremony this Saturday. Matt
has helped Nels and Judy with our four haunted hotels. Mike’s goal is
to impress the scout council that InfoAge is a great place for Eagle
Court of Honors.

17) Thanks to Mike Thomas of the NPS a disk with photos of SCR-268, 270
and 271 models is in the mail.

18) Steve R. and members of the archive committee are working on an

26) Steve G. found a great article in an issue of Wireless Age on the
Marconi High Powered Stations by C. H. Taylor. Lots of good technical
details. Thanks to our friends at the Chatham MA Marconi Station who
shared with us Mr. Taylor’s personal photo album. They had saved it
from an attic. We recognized ten photos from Belmar and New Brunswick
stations. One photo is of a Raritan river canal barge unloading the
sections of the steel wireless masts in Franklin Township. We will
share this with the Franklin Township Historical Society.

27) Thank you to Neil Bennett and the students of The Industry Film
School for the great DVD of our 2009 Haunted Hotel.

- We are making good progress restoring the original ceiling lights in
the TIROS building 9162 so the room looks exactly like the 1960 photo in
National Geographic and NASA photos.

- Our Wizard of Oz costumes we use for the Haunted Hotel will help the
Wall Drama Production
- Evan and MARCH picked up a UNIVAC system and other vintage equipment.
- Mike G. repaired the snow plow truck.
- Mike G. has finished the packing away of his holiday display. Mike
stripped the entire dining room floor. It looks excellent.
- The hotel lounge is ready for the next set of improvements. Restored
lights to match the original and more.
- Check Amazon.com to purchase a copy of Frank O'Brien's book on the
NASA/Apollo Flight Guidance Computer. I ordered my copy. As you know we
have one on display in an excellent exhibit made by Frank.
- A recently published book titled 'Radar Origins Worldwide' has a
chapter - Evans Signal Laboratory'. I order two copied from Amazon.com
- Frank O., Jeff F. and Mike G. are cooking up a rocketry day to honor
Rusty Swigert in summer.
- Bob G's book on Camp Evans history is moving forward. Three more
chapters are being reviewed.
- We are considering being a part of the Belmar St. Patrick's Day
parade. Scott W. is leading the charge.
- Able R. completed the assembly of more supply shelves.
- Steve G., and John T. helped Blossom with the mass of donated supplies.

This Sunday we had many many visitors. Lots more items were delivered
for the Blossom Care packs and support of our activities. On site on
Sunday: Frank O., our Mayor George Newberry, Steve G.,
Able & Michele R., Bella R., John T., Ray, Edith & Toby Chase, Dave Sn.,

A report by Rob Davis of the GSC:
The Garden State Central Model Railroad Club, Inc. (100% InfoAgemembers) sponsored a holiday train show at InfoAge for the fourthconsecutive year. Originally scheduled to run for the two weekendsbefore Christmas, the second weekend was postponed until to January dueto the big snow storm. During the two weekends, the exhibit drew justover 1200 people to InfoAge, providing large crowds for the trainswhich spilled over to Mike G's village display and the other museumexhibits that were open. At times the crowd was so large there werelines waiting to get into the train room, which featured over 20simultaneously operating model trains ranging in size from tiny N-scaleto live steam G-gauge indoor/outdoor trains. The club's exhibit wasalso open during Mike G's InfoAge fund raiser where another 30 or sopeople came to see the trains.

------------------------------ We touched up paint in the hotel hall and lounge.- The first Haunted Hotel 2010 planning meeting went great - 14 persons attended. Lots a good ideas.- We posted our mission statement posters in the lobby for visitors to read.- 9032 restroom partitions completed and painted. - 9032 radar countermeasures room almost ready. Once the BRAC tests are done we will paint the floor.- The 21 NJR posters Dan L. created using Lynn B's photos went to NJR today. The poster for Keily Construction too.- The WWII Draft set of the Home Front Living Memorial posters are ready for review.- New versions (22" by 34") posters of the Russ Henderson 1914 Belmar station photos are ready for hanging. They show visitors exactly what the photos show in 'call-outs'.- Nels and company picked up a trailer full of fallen branches for visitor safety and site appearance.- We have a BOT meeting on Tuesday. Much progress was made on updating the ByLaws- Mr. Robie Lange of the NPS National Landmarks Survey team visited on Wednesday. It was a good visit- Thanks to Wall committeeman Jeff Foster we now have the Astronaut Rusty Swigert artifacts from the Wall library to add to our space display.- Check Amazon.com to purchase a copy of Frank O'Brien's book on the NASA/Apollo Flight Guidance Computer. Thanks to Larry T., Ray Chase and others helping Bob in the massive undertaking. Frank O. and Phil V. understand first hand the challenge of becoming a published author.- Thank you to Lewis Meixler for hosting a meeting of the NJ Regional Homeland Security Technology Committee at Camp Evans. We made new friends in the committee and may have a university offer some classes at our facility.- The Wall ROTC continues to practice in the TIROS building and do better and better in competitions

- This past Sunday we were part of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service. Michele R. and Blossom members provided leadership to make the event a great success.We raffled two copies of the collected works of Dr. King in the book "A Testament of Hope"; the volunteers painted giant likeness of two American scientist with African Heritage; painted the upstairs ladies room; disassembled, cleaned and reassembled with new webs and cords old style window blinds saving us over $240 in labor; cleaned all our restrooms, cataloged and sorted over 200 technical drawings of Camp Evans and its buildings; made computer keyboard letter pins for messages; collected and sorted dozens and dozens of supplies donated by visitors; assembled metal shelves to store the supplies until needed and helped Mike G. pack up his Holiday village display. Lots and lots of valuable work. Thank you Rev. Dr. MLK Jr, Day of Service volunteers and Blossom. During the event our regular volunteers gave tours to the many visitors.

I hope to see you at the next few meeting to help plan this exciting year of progress. It is up to us to make historic Camp Evans a place of public benefit service that is honoring to those who served there.

InfoAge Meeting, Wednesday, January 6.

Hello Everyone and Happy New Year,

We will have a Wednesday planning meeting this week. We will start at
6:30 PM, just a little earlier. We will enjoy pizza, discuss this years
calendar, current projects and possibly break into work groups.

Welcome to a new decade. The decade of the bad BRAC is over. The
Base Realignment And Closure staff of Fort Monmouth and then the
Pentagon have failed to crush us. Their goal was to get us to walk away
so they could sell the 37 acres of Camp Evans to developers to help with
their budget. Thanks to repeated help from Congressman Smith, former
Wall Township attorney Roger McLaughlin, Bob McAllen and the RAB, and
Betsy Merritt of the National Trust for Historic Preservation the Camp
Evans Historic District is still here.

We enter this year, 2010 with many historic anniversaries that
underscore the importance of our site; the TIROS 50th, April 1st launch
& 9th birth of hurricane tracking; the 65th anniverasy of VE Day on May
6th and VJ day on August 15th. We have a number of exciting
possibilities. We could see our site named the State of New Jersey WWII
Living Memorial and our site could be elevated to National Landmark
Status as recommended by the NPS National Landmark Theme Study - WWII
and the Home Front. Plus, we are just 4 years away from the 100th
anniversary of the completion of the site as the largest wireless
station in the Marconi Network of World Encircling High-Powered Wireless
Stations.

Besides the repair of the damage created by BRAC and by time, we face
the challenges of growth. We are in a good place. We can use the
resources of the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC),
the preservation guidance provided by the NJ State Historic Preservation
Office and the National Park Service to help us along. We have
excellent volunteers who care about the Camp Evans Historic district and
are dedicated to the mission of InfoAge. We have a growing membership
and a growing support base. We have credentials - we are Preserve
America Stewards. Camp Evans is a Save America's Treasures Project and
the Township of Wall and the County of Monmouth WWII Living Memorial.
There are so many good possibilities available for us to grasp.

Welcome to 2010 and our decade.

****_*Due to the snow - The last two days of the Holiday Train Display -
sponsored by GSC - January 9th & 10th - Saturday and Sunday from 1 to
5 p.m*_.
----- January 9th is also the Project Diana (1946) anniversary day.
----- January 13th - Visit by Mr. Robie Lange of the NPS National
Landmarks survey team. Robie visited Camp Evans eight years ago.
**** On Sunday, January 17th we will observe the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther
King Memorial Day of Service. Blossom Int. and InfoAge are partnered
for this service event.
Also Sunday, January 17th we will have the 1st Haunted Hotel
2010 planning meeting. Judy has set a goal of $50 thousand for this
year. I say GO JUDY!!!

-> The Very Marconi Christmas by Mike and Kathryn Golub: This event was
excellent. Besides the fun, food and a chance to be together without
tools in hand, Mike and Kathryn raised over $10 thousand net - new
dollars. All expenses were paid for and donated by Mike and family.
Mike's unbelievable lighted Christmas Village on display in the dining
room was impressive and enjoyed by all. Mike's networking brought many
new visitors. We also had return visits by NJ State Senator Sean Kean
and former InfoAge volunteer, Assemblyman Dave Rible. InfoAge Board of
Trustee Members Claire French and Steve Makrinos were in attendance to
meet prospective new supporters. Thanks to all who helped Mike. Bernie
R. and Bob B. relocated their lighted telegraph exhibit to Mike village
of the event.

A few items of progress to note: Help with the many things I have note
recorded - email them to me for next e-news.
-Steve G., John T and Joe G. have been busy in 9400 making basic repairs
and setting up a temporary shop.
-We fixed the 9162 heat issue. Steve G. insulated and boarded up the
open ventilation louvers left open allowing the heating unit
condensation units to freeze. We may still have an intermittent
problem. But, the Wall ROTC is able to practice in the warmth.
-Nels W., Matt O and others have been consolidating material in the
H-buildings.
- Dan L. arranged our Newsletter, got it printed, we labeled it at the
last meeting and Bob J. is bringing it to the bulk mail facility ( not
an easy task ).
- We have a painting of G. Marconi and David Sarnoff for our hotel
thanks to a gift by the Sarnoff corporation arranged by John T.
- Norm and Ryan L. set up PC (supplied by Dan J.) with a series of
videos on Camp Evans history overviews. This is our second
Info-Station. Ryan is looking into putting the videos on U-tube.
- Henry's rain and snow deflector is working well. Plus, when the sump
pump failed we did not have a flood as most of the rain does not go down
the cellar ramp.
- We sold the 1,000 gal fuel oil tank removed when the 9059 oil heat
unit failed from old age. Combustion fumes were entering the duct work
so the unit was disabled.
- Dan J. and his computer de-construction lab was featured in a great
Coast Star article by Jamie B.
- John T. and Steve G. made a repair to the sink waste water link in
9002. To route the replacement line 6" (yes, six inches) of concrete
was the challenge. This has us re-thinking plans for the Hotel dining
room AC
- The scans of the Buckminster Fuller DDU plans on file at Stanford
University Archives arrived. They are the plans for our DDUs. Thank
you to Paul Moore for visiting Stanford and arranging the scans. This
is great information to enable us to make preservation repairs.

I hope to see you are the next few meeting to help plan this exciting

InfoAge Meeting, Wednesday, December 23.

Hello Everyone,

We will have a Wednesday project meeting this week.

year at the Very Marconi Christmas please get the check to me before

It's that time of year to look for all the smiling faces on the
children as they await a visit from Santa. What better way to start
the holiday season than to see the Holiday Train display at InfoAge
Science/History Center (Camp Evans).

Again the Garden State Central Model Railroad Club of
Asbury Park will set up lots of Operating Model Railroad displays at
Infoage. Many different layouts in all gauges including the N gauge
layout of the Pine Creek Railroad at Allaire State Park built by club
member, Steve Lang of Wall. Another club member,

Bob Ortley, of Wall, will have his layouts on display,
featuring an HO layout that goes from summer to winter.
The biggest attraction will be the large G gauge Garden style layout
with lots of member trains running at once. Some of the members
will try to run their live steam locomotives on the G gauge layout.

As an added bonus, Mike Golub, Neptune will have his unbelievable
lighted Christmas Village on display in the dining room of the famous
Marconi Hotel at Infoage.

Bring the whole family, enjoy all the operating model trains, from N
gauge to G gauge, InfoAge Science/History Center (Camp Evans), 2201 Marconi
Road, Wall, NJ, Donation Adults $5. Kids $1. Plenty of Free Parking.

*THE VERY MARCONI CHRISTMAS by Mike Golub*

On *Saturday December 2nd 2009* Michael and Kathryn Golub will proudly
host again the Second Annual *"Very Marconi* *Christmas" Gala at the
InfoAge Science History Learning Center.* The yearly event will take
place in the Banquet / Ball Room in the historic Marconi Hotel, locate
at* 2201 Marconi Road, Wall Township NJ 07719.* Doors open at 6:30 PM.
for tours and guest gathering activities.
This year's event will include many new miniature Christmas village
scenes from around Monmouth County. Included in the displays of the
evening are many large impressive exhibits from the *Garden State
Central Model* *Railroad Club, Pine Creek Railroad Club* /[operating
trains from N gauge to G gauge] /& several private collectors /
exhibitors as well. In the past guests have been pleasantly surprised to
find a group of collectors who build miniature circuses and tiny trains
that fit into shoe boxes and attache cases.

This year Kathy and I will feature in our own display the recreations
of the /*Shark River Waterfront* -/ complete with dredge site and
several model sail boats and commercial fishing fleet/, *Camp Evans /
InfoAge Learning Center*, *Wall Stadium/Speedway*/ complete with
vintage-antique- classic car & motorcycle show,/ *Monmouth/Allaire
Executive Airport*,/ complete with extensive collection of die cast
planes and helicopters the/ *Asbury Boardwalk & Palace* *Amusements*,
*Allaire State Park*,/ complete with hunting village and sleigh ride
course,/ *Christmas in Key West with Beth and Lew*, a *Winter -Water
Action Park*/ with three moving rinks and of course */Victorian Ocean
Grove, Spring Lake/* along with the */Historic/* /*Red Bank Business
District.*/

The display includes well over two hundred buildings all lighted up and
over 1000 figurines, and die cast cars, trucks, trains, planes, and
boats. The complete presentation of the display entails over 120 hours
of work by several volunteers, close friends and family members. The
events of the evening will include raffles, door prizes, live
entertainment, refreshments and inter-active activities for adult guests
of all ages. Most of the separate specialty museums, operated by the
member organizations of InfoAge will also be open for guest to observe
and experience. *Donation for admission is $25 per person and $45.00 per
couple.*

A few items of progress to note:
The snow storm hit us on the weekend of two of our fund raisers.
The pickup truck with our new snowplow broke an axial. (It is not
Steve's fault)
Thanks to John T., Steve G. Pete R., Scott W., and Nels we have the snow
cleared.
To get the job done Nels rigged a plow to our forklift, Steve G. got
more propane and Nels went to it.
John T. was Mr. show thrower. If any of you have operated a thrower you
know the work.

Thanks to Bernie R., Bernie, Nike G. and I got to meet with State
Senator Sean Kean.
Senator Kean will sponsor a bill to name Camp Evans the State of New
Jersey's WWII Living Memorial.
Given 2010 is the 65th anniversary of the end of WWII this is very
fitting to honor those who served at Camp Evans.
On or about January 13th a representative of the NPS National Landmarks
group will visit Camp Evans to further determine if Camp Evans meets
their criteria.

Also, do not forget the TIROS 50th anniversary is April 1st.
One of our first projects is to increase our membership.
