The Haunted Hike was a great success. Everyone has raved and they had great comments. We have raised enough money to re-roof another H-building section. Thank you to the many volunteers who made this a great event. Thank you to to Blossom, OMARC. MARCH, NJHDA, MTMNJ, NJNG, MAST, Rob and the the Shore Players, Laura and the Wall thespians, the Wall ROTC, the CACI employees who helped out and many individuals. Also, the Wall police and to the Wall DPW for patching the many potholes. This was a amazing triumph lead by Nels, Judy with the support of many of our volunteers. If you recall the town refused to issue a permit to hold the event inside any of the buildings. Given the recent fire in one of the abandoned buildings, this was understandable reaction. The challenge was how to you reinvent the event in six weeks. A whole lot of old fashioned - WWII style 'We Can Do IT' made a victory. Over three thousand persons enjoyed our event, we have moved our mission to save the radar laboratory a step further, and we can be proud of how well everything went.

*Thanks to Neil N. and Dan L. the grant application to put a second roof on 9034 to stop the growing number of leaks was put in the mail on time. Nice work on short notice.

***Festering and at times flaming issue - which is getting worse. We now have a stop work order on one of our projects and the requests to inspect 9032 and 9059 have not been acted upon for over a month. Clearly we have issues with the town building department. We need to file for permits when ever we do work on our buildings. Twice I have had to force folks to get permits for electrical work. At times we do not realize we need permits for the work we are doing. We will develop an internal form to submit to our 'Building and Grounds committee' prior to any work actions. They will review the form and submit the information to the town.

*Larrison Fuel and Oil completed cleaning our hotel boiler so we will to be ready for this winter. We need to get them back as the boiler is not running just right. We will check with Central Boiler to get the zone valves the Army disabled working

* Thank you to Steve M. for getting a S-280 radar shelter delivered from Tobyhanna Army depot.

* We are getting close on picking an IEEE milestone plaque unveiling event in November of December.

---Thank you all. See you at next week's meeting

*Reasons to tell persons why to donate (via check or PayPal) to our effort NOW: *
1) Saves an incredibly historic site
2) Honors WWII Signal Corps and Honor Front veterans
3) Helps education by inspiring kids to learn science
4) Furthers the development of a NJ Shore tourist destination.
5) Will create full and part-time employment
6) Improves property values in the North Wall and Shark River area.
7) We are the White House recognized stewards of the Camp Evans Historic District and now it is under our protection for future generations

**No Passion = No Progress. We have passion and we are progressing.**
If we do not tell kids what great things others have done to improve our nation how can we expect them to know what they are capable of.

Thank you,
Fred
