No InfoAge Meeting on Wednesday May 13

Hello All,

No Meeting Wednesday night. A news update update will be sent later.

*Invitation to National Event Honoring Preserve America Communities and
Stewards*

*/Mr. Ronald D. Anzalone/*
Director, Office of Preservation Initiatives Advisory Council on Historic Preservation has sent us an invitation to a reception and Preserve America recognition event honoring selected Preserve America Communities and Stewards, including the InfoAge Science-History Center - reservation of Camp Evans. Ray Chase and Steve Goulart are representing InfoAge in Washington DC
tomorrow. The reception will be held on the evening of Wednesday, May 13th in Washington, D.C.

President Barack Obama signed the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 on March 30, which included authorization for Preserve America and Save America's Treasures grants.
In addition to the grants, the law codifies the designation of Preserve America Communities as one of the entities eligible to apply for grants.

The details of the grant are at:
http://www.achp.gov/docs/Omnibus_Bill_090330.pdf Please review it. We need to put together a group to explore the possibilities with this $50 Million dollars. Wall is NJ's first Preserve America Community and InfoAge is amount the first eleven Preserve America Stewards. Camp Evans is an official Save America's Treasures Project.
***Steve Goulart has pointed out every state has received grants under these programs except NJ.
***We submitted two grants, but I made the mistake of proposing work in anticipation of the transfer.
***As of March 24th at 4PM with the completion of the transfer we are positioned to go for the money we need to preserve this site for the benefit of the future.

Again, please review the link to help us prepare a winning grant.

Thank you,
Fred
